Easter Bunny

Materials Needed

  • At least three players

  • Hula Hoop

  • Large open space

  • Baskets (or empty tissue boxes or bag)

Let's Play!

  • Choose one child to be the "Easter Bunny" - if you have bunny ears, have them put the ears on! Give the Easter bunny a box with all of the "eggs" inside. (About 5 eggs per child "finding" - if three are playing, one is the bunny and two are finders so 10 eggs)

  • Give each of the other children a basket (or empty box/bag). Have the children close their eyes. No peeking!

  • Next, the Easter Bunny must HOP around hiding the eggs all over the space.

  • When the Bunny is done, they can hop back to their hula hoop (aka home) and call out "It's time to": (movement)

    • "Hop and find the eggs"

    • "Run and find the eggs"

    • "Skip and find the eggs"

    • They may call out a new movement while children are searching.

  • Whoever finds the most eggs wins and becomes the new bunny. If all of the eggs are not found, the bunny wins and gets to choose the next player.

**Variations:

*Younger children may have trouble "hopping" to hide the eggs, they may try to hop and then switch to another movement.

*Do less eggs if you don't have a lot of time to play.

*Set a timer for the bunny to make it more difficult.

*Set a timer for the finders to make it more difficult.
