Materials Needed

Let's Play!

  • Choose a ball (or balls) - small enough to fit through your "bean stalk" but big enough to not be a choking hazard.

  • Form some tubes (for your beanstalks) using green construction paper. (Wide enough for the ball to fit through)

  • 6 months + : Instead of taping the "beanstalk" to the wall, let your little one try to push the ball through the opening.

  • 9 months + (if your child is able to stand) : help them to push the ball through the opening (or have them do it on their own if they are able).

  • 18 months + : tape the beanstalk to the wall so that your child stretches to reach the opening and then drops the ball. (Add more tubes for this age group)

  • *Optional: place a small box at the bottom of the beanstalk to help it "grow."

  • 6 months + : help your little one drop it in the basket

  • 9 months +: drop it in themselves

  • 18 months +: toss it in
