Let's Create!
-
Go on a pinecone walk with your little one and have them (or you depending on age) pick up some pretty pinecones.
-
Once you are back home, you will need to make sure the pinecones aren't carrying any little...friends.
-
Either soak them in vinegar (2 cups warm water, 1 cup vinegar - multiply depending on how many pinecones you use) for 30 minutes. Then let dry. Or
-
Place on an aluminum foil covered cookie sheet in the oven. Cook on low heat - about 200 F for around 35 minutes. Be careful that they do not burn!
-
-
Once they are all dry (or cooled off) it's time to decorate!
-
Place in a zipper bag with a couple squirts of paint, let them shake it around to decorate! You can also place paint on a piece of paper and roll the pinecone around on it.
-
To add a cinnamon scent, sprinkle cinnamon onto the paint before it dries!
-
Once everything is dry, use a hot glue gun to glue a ribbon to the top!
