Rainbow Sensory Snack

This Rainbow Sensory Snack is a great St. Patrick's Day Sensory Activity! It stimulates their senses whil providing essential nutrients for their growth.

Materials Needed

  • Plate

  • Various fruits/vegetables (other foods okay too)

Let's Create!

  • To start, gather foods that make up the colors of the rainbow (older range of this age group may be able to help you choose!

  • Some ideas for foods:

*Red: Apple, raspberries, strawberries, tomato

*Orange: Oranges, orange pepper, cheese

*Yellow: Bananas, yellow peppers, corn, mango

*Green: Green Apple, peas, pears, beans, avocado

*Blue: blueberries

*Purple: purple grapes, plums

  • Once you have selected your foods, build the rainbow! Let your child explore all of the textures and tastes of the foods!

**Depending on the age of your child, you will need to cut pieces smaller and present less food at a time. Be sure your child is not allergic to the foods prior to letting them try this snack!
