Let's Create!
-
To begin, help your little one put glue on the paper.
-
6 months +: Place a blob of glue onto the middle of the paper and let your child spread it around. To avoid sticky fingers, use a popsicle stick to spread it. Guide their hand if needed but try to let them do the movement.
-
10 months +: Place glue onto the end of a popsicle stick and let your little one move it around on the paper.
-
15 months + : Let your little one squeeze the glue themselves onto different portions of the paper.
-
-
Next comes the sandy portion!
-
6 months + : Place the paper inside of the empty box and sprinkle sand in. Let your child shake or move the box around so that the sand sticks to the glue. (Make sure the box is small enough that this is possible)
-
12 months + : Give your child something to scoop with and let them drop the sand onto the paper, then move it around. It is still a good idea to place the paper into a box to avoid a huge mess if you are doing this experience inside.
