(Snow Animal Game)

Race to pick up "fish" with this fun snow animal movement activity that is sure to get your feet moving fast!

Materials Needed

Time To Eat!

Difficulty Level: Easy

Time Needed: 10 minutes

Best done: Indoors/Outdoors

Main Movement: Running

PE Class

Materials Needed

  • Beanbags (or small balls)

  • Open Space to Run

Let's Play!

Many of our snow animals like to eat fish and dive into the water to do so!

  • Divide children into three groups: polar bears, penguins, and seals. Let them practice making those animal sounds for added fun.

  • Place your "fish" (can be balls, bean bags etc.) all around your playing area.

  • When you say "time to eat!" kids run around picking up fish! Whichever team has the most fish in the end wins!

**If playing individually let your child choose an animal and gather as much food as possible in a certain amount of time.

Another option is to call out one animal at a time and that group gathers first and so on : in this case hide the "fish" each time to make it more difficult, you should also play three rounds so that each team has a chance to go first.
